I just need some clarification. Do most people here think that Lateralus is the best of the Tool albums, or is it just everyone’s favorite? Everyone of my friends thinks it’s Ænima, it must be an age thing. My favorite is Opiate, but it’s not an album only an EP.

I loved Tool so much when I was younger and I went to their concerts during the Lateralus and 10,000 Days tour, but these days I never play their music.
T his was a nice reminder of how cool their music is even though I don’t feel the emotional connection to it that I once did.

I can only speak for myself, but I believe Lateralus is not Tool’
s best albums, but one of the best albums period. I see it as a technical masterpiece, for the very reasons discussed in the video.
